Sabaa Tahir - An Ember in the Ashes.

An Ember in the Ashes is the debut novel from Sabaa Tahir. A breathtaking tale of love and loss set in a fantasy world that will appeal to fans of Game of Thrones and The Hunger Games.

To celebrate publication, HarperVoyager asked MoonAge to conceptualise a short animated book video trailer, which would then be promoted on YouTube through targeted Google Video advertising. To ensure as many people as possible would engage with the trailer as quickly as possible, we used some eye-catching review quotes from the praise the book had already received in America and combined these with burning ember visuals, engaging copy and a suitably dramatic soundtrack.

The result was a 40-second trailer that would pull readers in without giving too much away and encourage them to click through to find out more and ultimately make a purchase. A range of different core reading groups were identified and keyword and placement targeting was used to drive people to watch the video, generating over 40,000 views in just two weeks.
